I did my graduation in Visual Communication Design from Beaconhouse National University, with major in Interaction design. Currently, I am enrolled in Masters studies.

Q: What sparked your interest in Fashion photography?

When I bought my first camera I used to take portraits of my friends during my graduate studies. From the start, I loved experimenting with colors, and the play of light, and that eventually became my fashion portfolio, and I started getting clients through those portraits.

Q: What skill set according to you is important to be a successful fashion photographer?

Editing! Color grading and skin retouching in fashion can make or break your work, at least for me.

Q: How has your journey been so far? Any struggles?

My journey as a designer, photographer and educator has been pretty smooth Alhumdulilah. One thing has always led to another. I held onto the best people in the industry and created my own little community with them.

Q: When did you decide that you want to be a fashion photographer?

No specific time frame but because portrait photography has always been of interest to me, I started getting called on as the fashion photography during university days, and somehow that decided my path.

Q: How would you describe your creativity and style?Any thought process you go through while working on a mood board?

My style revolves around a lot of color. My shoots are very colorful with very vibrant colored backgrounds. So, even if the mood-board of a shoot is clean, I try to introduce a punch of color in some way, through lighting.

Q: There must be several ups and downs in your career so far, what motivated you in your darkest times?

I keep learning new skills and not having work is my biggest nightmare so I keep on hustling all the time.

Q: What are you fascinated by at the moment? Are you following any specific trends for your shoots?

Currently I'm strongly into skin retouching and I love how European people are going about it.

Q: How would you describe your label HSK?

HSK is the most flexible studio offering design and photography. We try to adapt ourselves according to the requirements of the client that’s why we have a diverse range of portfolio.

Q: Where do you see yourself in the coming 10 years?

I see myself leaning more towards academic side. Being an art educator has always been my passion. Currently, I am working as a visiting faculty in BNU visual communication design Department.

Q: Any message you would like to give to upcoming fashion photographers?

Be consistent in whatever you do and keep on learning. The world is evolving too fast and you must try to cope up with it.
